Fantasy Girl was a song I based off of call girl 1-900 TV ads.
These girls with held an amount of fantasy to the client, all you had was the tone of their voices.
I thought it would be interesting to sing about this concept but as a metaphor to this dissociative aspect I often view life. I feel like when ever I dream of a lover, its part of a fantasy and this was never really real life.

"My mind gets so dreamy when you leave me
so slap me till' I feel something,
Times are hard and I'm getting sicker, cos I'm a mess I'm filled up with liquor,
Fantasy Girl, I don't feel the real world"

What I meant was it all feels so much more real after being super hurt. There is this theme in my life where I meet someone super amazing, then we hookup- then it's over.
I never see them again. My mind fills up with dreams or fantasies about bumping into them again, then I have to get slapped into reality knowing that this is not going to happen the way I want it to and It's a complete bummer.
There was a period of time where that led me to self destructiveness, I was looking for that hit of excitement so I disappeared into night life, drunken mindsets distracted me from pain, but essentially I was a mess inside.
